SOCOM: Confrontation

SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation is a third person tactical shooter video game for the PlayStation 3 developed by Slant Six Games. The game is the fifth title in the SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs series and the first for the PlayStation 3. It was released on October 14, 2008, on the PlayStation Network and Blu-ray Disc in North America and March 2009 in Europe. Confrontation came packaged with the official PlayStation 3 Bluetooth headset or as a standalone game, and also released as a downloadable title from PlayStation Network. The player is able to customize their character, choosing from a list of predefined items. The online game servers were originally shutdown on January 28, 2014 by Sony, along with the servers for SOCOM 4. Online servers for Confrontation on PlayStation 3 are back online as of 2021, with slight network settings changes needed to be able to connect online again.
